The first CBS Children's Memorial was held on Saturday 4th March, 2006, at East Coast Park.  Many bereaved parents, their families and friends, came together to remember the children they have each lost. The Memorial featured a variety of poems, readings and songs, and families laid flowers in memory of their children.  The event culminated in a mass balloon release to honour all the children.
